WordPress care for semi-state and public bodies
Public sector · Statutory obligations
A public body’s website answers to more than its visitors.
A public body’s site is part of its public accountability, and the obligations on it are written down. Irish public sector bodies carry statutory web accessibility duties under the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2020, with a published accessibility statement, a feedback mechanism and national monitoring behind them. HostLogic looks after WordPress sites for organisations that carry exactly these duties.
The obligations
The accessibility regulations apply the European standard aligned with WCAG, and we audit and remediate to WCAG 2.2 Level AA, which meets and exceeds it. Procurement rules govern how you buy, so our pricing is fixed and published. Vendor governance expects evidence, so every engagement produces documentation as it runs.
01
What we deliver
Managed WordPress hosting and care under one contract, with a one-hour critical response written in. Accessibility audits at fixed prices, remediation against a costed plan, and continuous monitoring so conformance survives content changes. GDPR and cookie compliance monitoring, security evidence reporting, and the vendor due-diligence pack included with every care plan.
02
The evidence
Every routine task runs from a written runbook, and every client site is reviewed weekly by an automated portfolio audit covering updates, performance, backups and platform versions. The paper trail exists because the work produces it. Our own statutory-style documents are published and version-controlled on this site: the Service Level Agreement, the Accessibility Statement, the Security page and the ESG policy.
03
Work we have delivered
We delivered WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility work under a national tourism authority’s grant scheme, to the standard the scheme was created to enforce. The work was documented so that it could be evidenced afterwards. Client names are withheld under confidentiality and are available where consent allows.
04
Procurement
Prices are fixed and stated ex VAT, so quotation procedures are straightforward. The vendor due-diligence pack answers security and outsourcing questionnaires in writing, before contract. Where in-country Irish residency is specifically required, dedicated Irish hosting is available and quoted on application.
